Counseling Approach
Any of us can benefit from therapy at times. Whether facing a difficult transition such as divorce, job loss or bereavement, or experiencing a lack of fulfillment, therapy can help. Troubled relationships-on the job, within the family or marriage, or with friends-are often the first sign of emotional distress. The feeling of being “stuck” in your life can also be a warning. Psychotherapy can help you sort out your feelings, identify obstacles and options, and develop goals to move you forward.
Deborah’s approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy with psychodynamic insight. She strives to treat all clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Previous experiences at a psychiatric hospital, a Christian counseling center, and a private school have provided her with a solid background in diverse counseling settings. She especially enjoys working in the areas of relationship conflict, trauma resolution, career satisfaction, disordered eating, and life transition.
